Year 12 Music Video Preliminary Work

Over the next four weeks you need to complete the following tasks:

• Continuity film activity (every student to complete and edit)
• 30 second lip synching task (every student to complete and edit)
• 60 seconds music video prelim. consisting of a storyboard, filming and editing. The song choice is I Bet You Look Good on The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys

Schedule:

w/b 9th June:

• Introduction to continuity activity and basics of shot composition
• Storyboard continuity activity
• Film continuity sequence
• Edit continuity sequence
• Complete lip synching task-lip sych first 30 seconds of chosen song. All students to complete.
• Edit lip synching task.

w/b 16th June:

• Storyboard first 60 seconds of chosen song.
• Assign group roles-director,camera person, sound, band.
• Organise all instruments and outfits.
• Begin filming.
• Complete all filming.
• Begin editing (in groups edit the same footage).

w/b 23th June and 30th June:

• Complete editing.
• Begin research and planning for September.

NB: The week beginning 23rd June will be disrupted due to: UCAS day, 'health day' and sports day.
